Ubuntu Capital was recently approved by the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) for partnership based on Ubuntu's innovative use of digital solutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Ubuntu was one of eight institutions selected via a competitive process focused on 'digital finance plus' for partnership to support Ubuntu's growth strategy.

FSD-Uganda was an early grantor of Ubuntu Capital, recognizing before others the crucial role Ubuntu’s data can play in expanding access to financial services to underbanked communities.

Ubuntu Capital is a 2016 MassChallenge finalist. MassChallenge provided us space, phenomenal mentorship, a vast network, and exceptional entrepreneur-peers.
